Backcountry S'mores Tea Blend

Sit back and enjoy a cup of Smore's tea with real marshmallows and chocolate! Backcountry S'mores is a blend of black and lapsang souchong teas with marshmallows, cocoa nibs, dark chocolate, safflower and vanilla creme flavor.  This creamy and rich tea is prefect for a cozy night at home with a book or to help warm up while camping.

To make the perfect cup of S'mores tea, you will want to use 1 teaspoon of tea leaves for each 8-ounce cup. For an optimal flavor experience, bring the water to about 200°F. This is important, as lapsang tea is delicate and will become quite bitter if it is steeped in water that is too hot. If you do not have an electric tea kettle with a temperature setting, bring your kettle to a full boil, then remove it from the heat and let the water sit for a moment before steeping the tea. Some people enjoy S'mores with a short 1-minute steep, while others prefer the stronger flavors of a 3-minute steep. We recommend capping the steep time at 3 minutes to avoid a bitter taste. 

Each glass jar contains roughly 2 oz of loose-leaf tea, depending on density of the tea it may be slightly less or slightly more. Each jar contains enough tea to make 10 strong cups or 15 standard cups of tea.
